A Captured Mystery: Reminiscing the Sendong Tragedy
The perfect criterion for a perfect photograph is not limited
to the subject and how the message was conveyed. It defies the photographer’s
creative imagination on how an individual feels the emotion being depicted in
the portrait. The photographers’ main concern, therefore, is on how their own
photograph be an impact to many who views and will view it. There are some
photos that touch the heart. There are some that tickles the curiosity. And
some that are hidden in the darkness of mystery. The Power of Digital
Photography.
The Provincial Capitol Ground of Cagayan de Oro City was
filled with glimmering lights in the dark. I can still remember last year that
they did the same thing but the difference is that they changed the color from
blue to white. It was unique and resourceful. Simple and yet very endearing to
the eyes. I had a chance to pass by the said place and I can't help but spell
the word 'WOW'. This was a feeling to cherish preparing for the best festive
time of the year; the feeling I had before the typhoon Sendong tragedy.
Beautiful isn't it? but have you ever wonder that this image has a meaning or something? a prediction or so? or a warning? I guess NOBODY ever wondered about that. Perhaps, who could view this lovely scenario in a different perspective.
However, one thing is for sure. That every time I pass by
this place I will always remember the thousands of souls that were lost during
the biggest tragedy that ever happened in Cagayan de Oro City. Were this
adornment meant for the memory of the people who have died? You judge. God Bless their
souls.
